FAQ

  • What is the prerequisite?

    There is no prerequisite.

  • Is this class for complete beginners or people who have photography experience?

This class is for all levels.

    If you:

    • Are an advanced or intermediate level photography, we advise you to shoot on the Manual Mode (and we will show you how to adjust the ISO, aperture and shutter speed on our equipment).

    • Have attended the Beginners and Intermediate Workshops, we advise you to shoot on the Manual Mode (and we will show you how to adjust the ISO, aperture and shutter speed on our equipment).

    • Are a complete beginner, we will advise you to shoot on the Full Auto Mode of the equipment provided. It is super easy to control the exposure and depth of field (background blur/ sharp) in our equipment. We will show you how to use the equipment.
  • I would like to use my own equipment, is it ok?

Yes, you can use your own equipment if you have already known how to use them.

If you have your own equipment but don't know how to use, we will advise you to first sign up the Beginners and/or the Intermediate I Workshops.

In this class, there won't be enough time for us to show attendees how to use their own equipment. Please use our equipment if you don't know how to use your own.

  • What equipment be provided?

    Equipment provided for each attendee:

    1) Canon R0 mirrorless camera body

    2) Canon 18-45mm F4.5-6.3 RF-S kit lens

    3) Canon 75-300mm F4-5.6 EF telephoto lens & adaptor

(Don't worry if you are a complete beginner, we'll show you how to use them and they are super easy to master.)

  • What lenses are recommended for this class?

We will provided the equipment, including lenses that cover the telephoto, standard and wide focal lengths.

If you plan to use your own equipment (and you must know how to use them), here're our recommendations:

    • The range of equivalent focal length that you'll work with is 24mm-300mm.

    • A must: Telephoto lenses (with equivalent focal lengths of at least 100mm; the best possible range is 100mm-300mm)

    • Wide angle lenses (with equivalent focal lengths from 24mm-35mm)

    • Standard lenses (with equivalent focal lengths from 50mm-70mm)

    • If you have a zoom lens, say a Canon EF-S 18mm-200mm (equivalent focal length 27mm-300mm), that will be perfect for the class.

To learn about focal lengths and lenses, please sign up for the Intermediate I Workshop.

  • Can I bring a friend/family to the class?

Unless the friend(s) has (have) paid, otherwise we'd ask him/her/them not to.

  • What can I order from the restaurant?

Please see the preset menu above.

  • Do I need to bring my computer for the editing part?

    No.

The photos in our equipment can be transferred to your smartphone via bluetooth.

In the last 30 minutes for the class, you will transfer the photos from the cameras we provide to your smartphones, and edit them under the guidance of the instructor.

If you are using your own equipment, please make sure they are transferrable to your smartphones.

You will still keep the SD card that we provided in the class.

  • How do I keep the photos that I capture during the class?

You will keep the SD card (memory card) in the camera after the class.

  • I would like to order something outside the preset menu, is it ok?

Attendees will pay for the full price of any items outside the preset menu.
