The San Francisco Street Photography One on One Mentorship

This 6–12 month Street Photography Mentorship is designed to help you grow far beyond simply taking better pictures. Through a series of 8 carefully selected location combos in San Francisco with in-person guidance, you’ll learn how to see more intentionally, anticipate stronger moments, simplify complex scenes, work confidently with changing light, and gradually develop a photographic style that feels like your own.

One of the greatest advantages of the mentorship is flexibility. Rather than locking every session into a fixed calendar, we choose shooting dates together based on your progress, learning goals, and the conditions we want to explore. A bright sunny day may be perfect for studying light, shadow, geometry, and contrast. A rainy day can transform the city into an entirely different photographic environment filled with reflections, umbrellas, atmosphere, and color. Instead of treating weather as an obstacle, we use it as another creative tool.

Between sessions, you’ll also receive personalized photography assignments designed to reinforce what you’ve learned, challenge the way you see, and help you continue practicing independently. Your work can then be reviewed during your Zoom critiques so we can identify what’s improving and what to focus on next.

Throughout the mentorship, you’ll photograph alongside Christina or Jordi and receive immediate, personalized feedback while you shoot—helping you recognize opportunities, adjust your approach, and understand why an image works or doesn’t work while the experience is still fresh.

And the learning doesn’t stop when the photowalk ends. We'll have Zoom meetings throughout your mentorship for image critiques, questions, portfolio reviews, and guidance. We can review what you photographed, identify patterns in your work, discuss what to improve next, and continually adjust your learning goals as your photography develops.
