Experience Based Class

Self Discovery Through Photography

Equipment Provided

This workshop is designed for complete beginners who want to fuel their minds and bodies with de-stress focused photography techniques, through which they will bring more awareness about their abilities, feelings and characters.

Photography itself is a form of art that reduces one's stress and helps one recharge the mind to cope with everyday challenges. For people who have already learned the fundamentals of photography or shot on a camera, we have various levels of classes that suit their needs.

However, we also want to take care of the complete beginners who merely want to recharge without going through the numbers and jargons in photography.

We will show you how to shoot beautiful images using the most basic settings on the equipment that we provide during the class in this therapeutic journey. Our equipment is super easy to use! You will skip the technical side of photography and instantly dive to the fun part: learning how to control the background blur, the brightness of a photo and more. You'll play with the lighting, explore creative composition and try out a lot of fun photography exercises such as macro photography.

You will be encouraged to express your emotions through the images, be mindful of the present by noticing the color, the light & shadow and the forms & shapes of the subjects.

Very often, the process results in a deep satisfaction, inner peace and personal growth.

FAQ

  • I have zero background in photography, can I sign up?

Yes, this class is designed for people who want to reduce stress in everyday life. We welcome photographers of different levels, including those who never used a camera, nor learned photography, nor had any prior knowledge in photography.

  • Will equipment be provided? Are they easy to use?

Yes, equipment is provided (Canon R50 mirrorless cameras) in this class and they are very easy to use.

No prior knowledge in photography and camera settings is needed.

  • Can I use my own equipment?

Yes, but you need to know how to use it. The instructor won't be showing you how to do so in this class.

Unlike the Beginners' Workshop in which we'll show attendees how to use their own cameras in the end of the class, this class focuses on the photography activities that take everyone's stress away. Therefore, the information is not very technical, and the attendees are expected to know how to use their own cameras if they own one already.

Please use the equipment that we provide in the class to get a better experience.

  • What photography knowledge will I learn in this class?

You'll learn how to observe the light, control the brightness and background in the image through shooting on the FULL AUTO MODE of the equipment that we provide.

Technical knowlege such as ISO, aperture, shutter speed, focal length etc will not be taught in this class.

To learn the technical knowledge in photography and start your professional journey as a photographer, please sign up the Beginners and the Intermediate I & II Workshops

  • What mode am I shooting on?

In this class, attendees will be shooting on the FULL AUTO MODE on the Canon R50 that we provide, which is extremely easy to pick up but amazingly powerful.

To learn other exposure modes and the technical side of photography, please sign up for the Beginners' and the Intermediate I & II Workshops

  • Can I bring a friend/family to the class?

Unforunitely, the answer is no, even the guest is willing to wait in the building's public area instead of the classroom.

  • I am an intermedite/ advanced level photographer, will the knowledge taught in this class too easy for me?

Yes, this class will be too easy for you but you can still come with the expectation of reducing stress, and explore how to be very creative in doing the most basic photography activity.

Alternatively, we will recommend you to sign up for our in-depth level workshops, through which you can also de-stress and have fun in learning to take the photos that match your skill level.
