Unleashing the Art of Food Photography

A recap on Photosprouts' Food Photography Workshop, January 29th 2023 (Sunday) 12pm-4pm.

Food photography is a unique and artistic genre of photography that requires skill, creativity, and a deep understanding of the subject--food.

As an instructor at Photosprouts, we have had the privilege of teaching aspiring food photographers the art of capturing stunning food images.

In the workshop, Photosprouts provided students with the best learning experience, from food preparation, styling, to shooting in natural & artificial light.

The students worked with different foods using the props provided during the class, learned the 3 core compositions and the 2 camera angles, manipulated the light and dialed to the ideal camera settings.

Just like our Beginners & Intermediate Workshops, we took no more than 6 students in the workshop so that everyone got instant feedback from the instructors and received sufficient individual attention.

The instructors took everyone through the process of selecting the right props, setting up the scene, and arranging the food to create a visually appealing and appetizing image. Students were encouraged to think outside the box, experiment with different angles, and find their unique styles.

In Photosprouts, we believed that the best way to learn is by doing rather than just listening to lectures, and we designed every single workshop to be super hands-on. Students can leave the class with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in this field. If you're interested to improve your food photography, Photosprouts is the perfect place to start.
